Want to be more involved in your child’s school? Become a tutor!

We are excited to announce that Intergenerational Learning Center has been selected to partner with Minnesota Reading Corps in 2017-18! We are one of nearly 900 sites statewide who have been selected for this research-proven program. Reading Corps tutors help our teachers and specialists reach every student who needs additional support by providing one-on-one or small group tutoring during the school day.

At our school, we’re looking for tutors to serve in these paid roles:
- PreK Literacy Tutor

We are looking for a Minnesota Reading Corps tutor for the 2017-18 school year. You can work with our PreK students every day, during the school day and help them become successful readers!

Reading Corps provides comprehensive training in strategies proven to help students build reading skills. Tutors are paid a living allowance and are eligible for up to $5,815 to pay tuition or repay student loans. Tutors 55 or older may gift the award to a child or grandchild. Tutors may be eligible for free health insurance and child care assistance.

Learn how you can get involved by visiting readingandmath.net. You can also help by telling a friend or family member (grandparents make great tutors, too!) about openings at our school and statewide! Positions start in August for the 2017-18 school year. Send questions to recruitment@servetogrow.org or call 866-859-2825.

You can also contact Tricia with additional questions. Thank you!
