Just Imagine...

A Letter From Our Executive Director

Hello! Welcome to the Intergenerational Learning Center website. I am delighted that you are interested in finding out more about the center. The center opened in March of 1999 with 5 staff and 4 children. Over the years it has been amazing to see the growth of so many children who started out as infants with us and continued into the school age program.

All of our staff is dedicated to enriching the lives of the children here at the center. The educational staff works each week to develop a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate for each child in the classroom. Additional classes can be added by parents to the child’s experience including dance, soccer and many more. During the summer we offer water play and field trips.

We here at ILC believe that teaching the children of the future is one of the most important things we can do. All of the hugs and special moments with each child makes what we do so meaningful. When we hear a child understand something new for the first time, and they “get it,” it is a very rewarding feeling. We would love to share with you and your family all the special things that make ILC unique.

From the moment you walk in the door, we hope you feel the importance we place on each child and their family. Each child is special and we want them to know that every day. Working with children has been something I have wanted to do since I was a little girl. Being able to develop and create ILC has been a dream for me. The northwoods theme, tug boat computer lab and the theater are special areas in the school to add to the education experience here at the center.

We want each child to feel loved, secure, and have fun while learning new things every day. We hope you will schedule a tour to experience what we experience each and every day with the children at our center.

Sincerely,

Denise Gustafson
Executive Director
